Are You Too Old To Do What You Love?

September 28th, 2011 | By Kristen Leigh in Fun Stuff, Marketing, Yoga & Wellness | 3 Comments »

My friend Tiffani, over at Accidental Chic, shared this today via twitter.  I liked it so much, I wanted to pass it on.  Check out this video by Marie Forleo as she answers a reader’s question about being too old.

New Site Launch: AngelaStalcup.com

angela_screen450

Angela Stalcup and I (along with illustrator, Cynthia) have been working together since 2008, when we first launched the brand and website for her blog – The Curvy Life (which promotes a healthy body image and lifestyle).

As the Membership Director for Ladies Who Launch (an online and in-person support community for women entrepreneurs), Angela is the embodiment of entrepreneurship as a lifestyle!  Whether in workshops – facilitating women through the business building process, at speaking engagements – sharing information and inspiration, or individually consulting with business owners all over the country, Angela brings her curvy, sassy spirit to the table.  She needed a website that could not only represent her style, but also clearly and easily communicate all of the different aspects of “working with Angela.”

New Site Launch – Lori J Sullivan

February 1st, 2011 | By Kristen Leigh in Design, Portfolio | No Comments »
Lori J Sullivan

Lori Sullivan has many interests and passions. As a strategic thinker that loves brand and marketing strategy, she’s also passionate about the environment and lessening her “impact” wherever possible. All of these aspects – including branding, green-living, recycled jewelry, and good books – come together at the newly launched LoriJSullivan.com.

Lori and I began working together in 2009 to create a brand identity for One Shade Greener – her eco-consulting company that specializes in designing strategies for businesses and homeowners who are looking to lessen their impact on the environment.

One Shade Greener

Then, last year, we brought to life Fingerprints Marketing – her branding “arm” that guides companies and individuals to discover and market their unique personality – the “Fingerprint” of the organization.  It was important when working on each of these entities to keep the color palette and style consistent – knowing that each piece would circle back around to where they originated – LORI.

So, now we’ve brought the vibrant colors and playful feel to a suite of websites that connect all the dots of Lori J. Sullivan.

New Site Launch – The Workplace Therapist

January 31st, 2011 | By Kristen Leigh in Design, Portfolio | No Comments »
The Workplace Therapist
Just launched from K-Leigh Creative – TheWorkplaceTherapist.com.

Since 94,365 hours of our lives are spent working – shouldn’t that time be well spent?  The workplace has changed. Mantras such as “Do more with less,” “Today could be your last day,” and “Help is not coming,” permeate our workplaces like never before. Work relationships are more strained and more fleeting than at any time in recent history. Gone are the days of 40 year careers with one organization and gold watches at the end of the rainbow. It is now left up to us to define who we want to be, what difference we want to make with our careers and how we want to work better with each other.  But there’s a catch – we were never taught how to cope with these new rules. There is no manual or simple step process. What do we do? Where do we turn?

Wouldn’t you know, I have the answer to that. :)

Therapist, professor, consultant and radio host, Brandon Smith brings an upbeat, witty approach to the challenges of workplace health and dysfunction at TheWorkplaceTherapist.com.  The site is all about helping you meet the changing rules of work today. Specifically, tackling three pressing questions that we all face in our careers and lives:

  1. What do I want to do with my career and life?
  2. Who do I want to do it with?
  3. How can I do it better?

Learn more and check out our creative work at TheWorkplaceTherapist.com.
